Newcastle Publishing Imprint Secures the European Rights to Jide Badmus’s Collection of Poems – “What Do I Call My Love For Your Body”

The Roaring Lion Newcastle Ltd. committed to publishing outstanding books written by Black Authors has signed prolific Nigerian Poet, essayist, and storyteller, Jide Badmus, on a year 5 book deal for his forthcoming collection of poems, with an option to renew for another five years.

The Newcastle based publishing imprint has secured the European rights to Jide Badmus’s collection titled, “What Do I Call My Love For Your Body”.

The bard is renowned for outstanding poetry collections like, “There is a Storm in my Head” “Scripture” “Paradox of Little Fires” “Öbaluaye” and several poetry chapbooks.

Jide Said, “It’s an honour to be the newest member of this great family. I’m always eager to share my art with the world and having such a wonderful platform as this to reach out to more people is an opportunity I cherish.”

 Bio

Jide Badmus is an engineer, a poet inspired by beauty and destruction; he believes that things in ruins were once beautiful.

He is the author of There is a Storm in my Head; Scripture; Paper Planes in the Rain; Paradox of Little Fires; Silk Psalms; and Anatomy of the Sun (and everything beneath); Lust Alphabets; and Obaluaye. He has a Pushcart Prize nomination.

Badmus has curated and edited several anthologies, such as Vowels Under Duress; Coffee; Today, I Choose Joy; and How to Fall in Love.

He is the founder of INKspiredNG, Poetry Editor for Con-scio Magazine, and sits on the board of advisors for Libretto Magazine.
