Our Love could have been as clear as spring water
But her fountain had been polluted
by streams of hate.
This could have been paradise
but I spend my days in regret
grieving the day our paths crossed.
He could have been my prince charming
but his words are arrows darting my heart,
wounding my pride.
She could have been the only one
but she hurts me with her broken pieces.
We burned all the bridges we’ve built
and our home became desolate.
